She holds a degree in the teaching of Biology and Geology and a Masters in Education, specializing in Guidance and Supervision of Professional Practice.
She worked closely with teachers from primary to secondary level, at the Curricular Organization and Training Unit, Directorate-General for Education (DGE), Ministry of Education and Science, Portugal, as a helpdesk manager and pedagogical for another ME program “Entreculturas” and TEIP project (1996 to 2000); in 2000 she was responsible for the in-service training of primary school teachers within the scope of the ALFA project; from April 2012 to September 2015, she was Project Coordinator at the Educational Resources and Technology Unit, DGE. She was National Pedagogical Coordinator of the iTEC project and also coordinated the inGenious project.
She currently teaches Biology and Geology, coordinating the Department of Mathematics and Experimental Sciences of the Anselmo de Andrade School Group, being responsible for the pedagogical guidance of the professors who integrate this department.
