Flipped classroom

The flipped classroom is an educational model in which the traditional lecture and homework components of a course are inverted. Students watch short video lectures at home before class, while class time is spent on exercises, projects or discussions.

The video lecture is often considered the key component in the flipped approach. Such lectures are either created by the teacher and posted online or chosen from an online source.

A prerecorded lecture could be a podcast or any other audio format, but the ease of video access and viewing has made it so common that it has become synonymous with the flipped model.

Is are based on a video that is created by the teacher.

They help students have entire courses and discussions on topics at home. The benefit of a flipped classroom is that content, often the theory/lecture part of the lesson, is easier to access and control by the learner.

Many educators believe that the most challenging part of implementing the flipped classroom is either creating or finding resources for the students to utilize outside of the classroom setting.

However, the majority of the advantages of the flipped classroom model are contingent upon what occurs in the classroom setting instead of in a lecture setting.

Therefore, it is essential to first plan out how class time will be utilized before beginning to search for materials for students to utilize at home. The flipped classroom model necessitates a significant amount of outside work by students. If students do not understand how this frees up class time to engage in activities that contribute to their learning, they will reject the flipped classroom model.
