Web 5.0

Web 5.0 is expected to be a sensory and emotive web; an open, interconnected and intelligent web. It will be based on the interaction (emotionally) between humans and machines (computers). It will be like a personal assistant that is always with the user. So, just as Web 4.0 is called the symbiotic Web, so too is Web 5.0.

At present, the network is “emotionally” neutral, meaning that it does not sense the emotions of users. Web 5.0 does, however, use neurotechnology, which enables the interpretation of selected biometric indicators, and the reading of emotions of users. For example, web applications can change avatars’ facial expressions in real time.
